ATC Group, Inc. (ATC) markets, assembles, and distributes a wide range of refrigerated coolers, operating from a modern 40,000 sq. ft. office, assembly and warehousing facility in North Charleston, SC.
Founded in 2002 by Laura and Ted Tombs, today the ATC management team is led by Mrs. Tombs as President, Mr. Tombs as Executive Vice President, and has expanded to include Tim Hyland, as Chief Financial Officer and Jim Delaney as Vice President of Sales.
This management group is considered among the most innovative and creative in the business. It has worked together in the refrigeration industry for many years and draws upon combined experience of more than five decades.
ATC Group received notification that the Company had been certified in the Small Business Administration (SBA) 8A BD Program and Certified as a Small Disadvantage Business (SDB) Program for the Federal Government, in February 2004.
ATC has grown rapidly, with annual sales now over 18,000 units. Last year alone, the firm experienced a 50% volume increase and projects growth to continue at a 25% annual rate-- based on new product lines, expanding distribution channels and its reputation for service and repeat sales to existing customers.
The company's mission is to maintain and expand an innovative sales and service organization, utilizing exclusive import manufacturing to provide refrigerated coolers and freezers to target markets, while building mutually beneficial relationships with customers and suppliers.
A true "strategic partnership" has been established with Austria Haustechnik AG (AHT) of Rottenmann, Austria. AHT is a global manufacturer of refrigerated glass door coolers and freezers with production facilities in Austria, Turkey, Thailand. It produces some of the highest quality coolers in the industry and has awarded ATC exclusive distributorship for North America, and Mexico.
In addition, ATC has established partnerships with Vestfrost, a Danish manufacturer; and Criotec, a Mexican manufacturer based in Monterey. Business continues to expand with both companies as new products are added to the ATC portfolio.
ATC provides a complete line of Refrigerated Coolers and Freezers. Further, it has a well-proven ability to produce customized coolers upon request. ATC offers after-the-sale support to customers in installation, inventory management, service and repair. The company's nationwide service network provides assistance wherever needed.
ATC has been able to position itself as a major equipment supplier for large marketers such as Pepsi-Cola, Coca-Cola, Dannon and Fresh Express, as well as serving many other beverage companies, foodservice providers, convenience stores and retail outlets.
ATC combines a value-based pricing strategy with a multi-faceted marketing mix of sales literature, trade shows, direct mail, interactive website and on-line product catalog.
